Nothing exciting just a layout to share at last ... it has been sitting on my bench for ages I only just got around to taking a photo of it though..

Well it has been school holidays here but nearly time for the boys to return back to school, it hasn't been too bad this time as Mike stays up all hrs of the night playing xbox, computer or TV and then sleeps half the day so he will have to get back to reality soon when school starts again and go to sleep at a decent hour. At least while he is asleep half the day the boys aren't getting on each others nerves which gives me a bit of peace not having to them bickering at each other. Well I'm off for a haircut today and next week I will go and finish my TAFE course I started I'm not sure of how many days or the hours I have to attend yet..

My Dining room that is..... it's been my craft room for so long.. you can see how it used to look here a post from way back in 2009, I had gathered a bit more stuff since then too as that was pre-stamping/carding days..

Still a bit more work to do in here like new curtains and another cupboard DH wants to bring in

It has only taken us nearly 2 months to actually move all the stuff around as Jess moved out in Feb to start her studies at Wagga TAFE a Diploma in Community and Welfare course she is doing goes for a year and a half and she wanted to keep her room as it was for when she comes and stays and I was a bit reluctant in packing up her gear which is still here in 3 different places, as I wanted to move Sam into her room so I could make a bit more noise in his, It's right next to Mike's and I swear that boy just doesn't wanna go to sleep at a decent hr. Anyways it had to happen as we really wanted a dining/kitchen back to it's purpose in a house :)

So we had to re-organise 3 different rooms and still working on them too as the little fella needs to have a toy cull and I can't do that with him here as he brings the stuff back in from the bin and asks why are you throwing this... Lol!!

Well it's almost santa time I thought I would get some blogging in while waiting for the kids to go to sleep and to wish all family and friends a Merry Christmas and I hope you all enjoy your day with your loved ones and eat lots, drink lots and have a jolly ole' time... p.s and take lots of photo's so you have plenty to scrap in the New Year..

I can show you now as I handed them out yesterday we met up with our Victorian sisters at the halfway point in Albury and had a picnic in the park and a xmas catchup as Pauly will be staying home this christmas so we had our family shots as well.. it was a great day and wasn't raining on the weekend for something different.. we each had to make scrapbook pages of our own families with recent photo's and here are what I got done.. I couldn't gather the 3 kids up to get a together shot in time to scrap.

We upgraded our camera with an Olympus and we now have 30 optical zoom along with 14 mexapixels so the photo's are a lot clearer and it has heaps of settings which are awesome. There is a birdwatching one but couldn't find any birds to practice on so I will have another play another day...

We have had quite a bit of rain over the last couple of days it started about 10/11pm on Friday night and didn't stop all day saturday but we had a little bit of a break today with only a few showers..

Here are some photo's taken today and yesterday the bridge underwater at the old swimming pool was taken by someone else I just borrowed it and the one of the picnic table underwater as well. I did take all other photo's today when the water had come down a bit I still have never seen that much water coming from the old swimming pool area.

A Layout I done on Tuesday night scrappin I think it needs something else on it.... but if I fix it I'll show you all this is a photo Karen gave me after she cut it up and couldn't do anything with it so I've had it in my scrapping folder for a couple of months.

Well!!! he was playing with it while doing his business on the toilet and before he flushed the loo he had so much in his hands it sorta dropped in needless to say it didn't work after that.... he only got it for xmas 09'. So on his birthday list is another DS..

Here is our New family member its name is Skitta as its a bit skittish still everytime it hears a noise or something it takes off as he was used to living outside at mums and the mother was a feral cat and not used to people but its getting better.. It has a bit of conjunctivitis as well so we have been trying to clear up its eyes ..

some LO's to show you I confess I did start them ages ago I added a few finishing touches to them yesterday and took a photo this morning ... this is my poor little puss he just went missing about a month ago and I don't know what happened to him and he was such a lovely cat too... This was a kit I brought from Debscreations some time late last year and it still has a few more bits and pieces to stick to it but I do like it as is...... I may get around to sticking them bits on one day >>

I've done a LO I done it for a challenge set by Kirsten over at B2C

Predominately pink with pink ribbon on it was the criteria so I used a couple of cast of photo's my sister was going to put in the bin...as she has set herself a challenge to use all the pics up she already had printed before any more got printed up so she was throwing some out that she had already done or was not going to attempt to do.. I used grant archival pp I picked up in spotlight last visit and I cut out the pattern bit in the corner than matted the photo's with the reverse side of the paper it was put on a white base bazzil cs with SU ink splattered on it and inked edges.

We headed down to Tumut Mum and me to attend the crop night on Saturday and we met my sister down there and had a great time looking forward to the next one.. I managed to do 1 LO and start make most of this drawer card..(more info on other blog)when I got home I added the finishing touches of flowersoft and coloured up the Magnolia stamp as well as some of the other embellies

This is the only LO to my name since my last post I haven't even finished sticking down the remaining bits of Debs kit I mentioned in a previous post... no LO mojo I'm afraid so you may see my next one a month from now... lets hope not I will try to finish a couple I have started at least...

Hi all I'm still here just need a kick in the butt to get my scrapping going again... which is what we done on Saturday National scrapbooking day.. Kata organised a whole day of scrapping and workshops but we(sister and mum) didn't go to them all we rolled up about 2 o'clock in Tumut and done this cratepaper kit/class LO using a sketch I'm not sure who by though.. then after that we scrapped into the night and had pizza and snacks ... thanks Karen for a fun night I hope we can do it again another night..

My first challenge for april was done for Uproar2 scrapmore a sketch designed by Emma and getting in quick and scraping my easter photo's already (I only took half a dozen pics) very slack.. close up of the bottom circle I made the arrow from the bunny munchers wrapper, I was to late to salvage it to use on the page so found a use for the ripped,torn foil..

How cute is this stamp Deb will be stocking these cc design stamps, the bunny boy used to have a butterfly on his nose but cut it off for this LO..
I'm still in the process of making a card with this stamp and a few others so you will need to check them out on my other blog ...... but not yet as I haven't updated there either..

I picked myself up a new printer last week at officeworks for a bargain price so now I can print up some decent photo's again the family bought me one for xmas but I wasn't happy with how it printed out photo's so that now belongs to jess when she clears her room a bit it might fit on her desk.... Just playing with some new toys from SU the butterflies and punch, I also used cloud 9 pp,dcwv pp, thickers, flowers and kindy glitz on the butterflies.

Here is one I started on Tuesday night and I finished it off on Wednesday.. It's sammy laying down playing with his trucks.

I've used cordination cs, and kaiser pp & stamps and thickers.

Betcha weren't expecting another one so soon at the rate I've been doing them this year.... I started this one last night and finished it off this morning..

It's a photo of my Aunt when she was small if you could please give me an approx date please AJ or mum?? I'll add it to the LO..

Isn't she sweet. I went pastel and used bazzil, basic grey pp, felt, bling, pearls, tissue paper flowers, mesh, small roses, die cut flourishes and a bit of sewing.. It fitted in with Tan's challenge over at B2C this month..

well here is another LO to add to this years total. Not real happy with it I still think it needs something else and since putting it up I don't like the clock where it is I might change it a bit and hide it half under the stripey paper.... This is my mum and her 4 sisters I don't know where the boys are as she has a couple of brothers as well... I have used kraft cs and stamped it with a SU background mesh stamp, kaisercraft pp and other stamped images, lace and ribbon.

First up is a challenge I set over at B2C I done the sketch all by myself..lol! it's a fairly basic one but it's adaptable... you may even be able to do a LO from it.. I shall try and attempt that..before the month is over..

Magnolia stamped image and DCWV papers, punch flowers, ribbon and border punch were used...

and for a totally different card here is a vintage style card with lace I think I got the image from the graphic fairy(link in my sidebar) grace taylor papers, sewing, flowersoft, stickles and prima flower..

The start of my new goal that is to improve my skills and gain my Business Admin cert III so I can eventually get paying job...hehe.. not one all us women do for love... lol!!(or if I didn't do it it just wouldn't get done...... As I haven't scrapped for 2/3 weeks I set myself a challenge and also put it up at the challenge chics as its been so quiet over there.... The challenge was to use some of your stash up and use papers you bought last year, something that has been in my stash for that long and hardly gets used anymore is Fozz felt and finally buttons as I have stacks of them too.... then add anything else you like.. Here is what I done last night and added the final touches this arvo after picking the the 2 big kids up from Albury as they spent the week in Mansfield with their Aunts and cousins...
Jess took the cool pic over at the dam one day when their dad took them for a drive I stayed home and cleaned the carpet on that day..

Here is a LO I done last month for a comp at Kata's new shop it was made from kit we purchased with the kaiser papers and cs and bits and pieces... I forgot to take a pic of it before I handed over to her so here it is now.. this one I done last night at our crop night and I finished embellishing it this morning.
This is Jess back in 1995 that would be about 14 years ago she is now 18It is very bright I used yellow coredinations cs, and cosmo cricket snorkel pp, flowers, letters cut with the slice and cc tiny alpha, and a GF digital stamp image the fairy...

I found this LO in my craft bag last week I done it about 2 weeks before that all that remained was a title and I figured one out only not sure I like where I placed it but its pritted down so here it will stay.....

This LO is for the christmas hamper #4 over at the challenge chics the criteria for this is below....

To use the christmas colours of green, red, yellow/gold, white, silver may use blue/purple only small amount..

This challenge was to make an advent calendar LO and so I have done a lot of stamping on mine and decorated it with tags that you can take off and hang on my advent tree which I made a couple of years ago each tag is clipped up with a paper clip and small pin..

Well I survived round 2 now this round was a doozy,

So, the first part of your challenge is to use the Melbourne Cup logo as your inspiration and create a layout using the colours of teal, hot pink, black and white. Bright and very funky!!NOTE: You can use tiny hints of other colours but the main focus is on this colour scheme.The second part of the Challenge is to create an interesting background, and it must have 3 elements to it. For example, my background has painting, sewing and a weaved paper background. You can do whatever you like here, but it MUST have 3 parts to it!!As you know, the Races are all about fashion, feathers and bling, so guess what the third part of the challenge is about??You MUST use: Fabric, Feathers and Bling on your layout somewhere.As an BONUS part of this challenge and sticking with the theme for our "Embellish This" competition...You MUST create a handmade embellishment out of fabric.It can be anything at all.

My 3 background elements are stamping, flicked rain dauber (made up sparkly paint) and circles was the third.

a close up of the embellishment which was my biggest hurdle to get over in this challenge as I'm no sewer I had to go raid mum's quilting scraps again and after playing around trying different things I settled on a bird and traced the template from some chipboard elements and cut one out from felt as well which is sewn together with the fabric and feathers..

Phew!! see if I can survive another round, they seem to get harder each round..

Skye held a class on Thursday night to raise money for breastcancer and this is the layout I made from the class only mine is a little bit different then the one taught as I had a portrait photo so had to turn it on its side and put the ribbon in a different place. Jess back in 1991 when she was about 8 months(pixie photo). I used bazzil, fancy pants pp, flowers, buttons, brads and other bits and bobs.

Challenge #2 for the xmas hamper over at the challenge chic... a sketch created by Tan a double LO I don't do many doubles at all so that was challenging and journalling I struggle with as well. so glad I had the sketch to work from it made things easier..

I used Kaisercraft Loire valley papers as well as bazzil and LV and KP stamps to make the embellishments..

HERE IS THE WEEK 2 CHALLENGE.....
Create an embellishment to be used to decorate the outside of your gift wrapping, using the colours red, white and green and also using some wire.
It is preferable to have it attached to your gift wrapping, whether that be a gift box or gift bag, or alternatively it can be attached to your layout or card.before I attatched him to the box he is held up with cardstock and transperency and for extra support I stamped him on chipboard and put inbetween the front and back bear..
with added flowersoft to his blanky.. he is so sweet..

Great timing for this challenge as it was mum's birthday on Saturday and I couldn't decide what to get her so I gave her some $$$$ so she could get something she wants.. and to store the $ in I made a gift box and decorated it with popcorn bear holding a bunch of flowers.. made from punchies and stamps, embellished with buttons and bits.

I started these a few weeks ago and wasn't happy with them so put them out of sight I decided to get them out this morning and finish them off I used shell's last sketch to go off for this, and stuck the embellishments on this morning. I wasn't happy with how this was turning out so stuck a few more bits and pieces on it and some more titles and it's not too bad...
This was Sam on his birthday last year and I've got near the same photo this year with his new trucks again.. just different clothes and bigger trucks... will have to do a LO with it too.

The last 7 years that is...... it doesn't seem all that long ago that I pushed a wee little Sammy into the world he was very eager to get here as he arrived 8 weeks early and weighed a mere 1.5kg about 3lb and 42cm in length and HC 31cm he was so tiny...

He is 5hrs old in the humidicrib they(NICU nurses) took the photo before they hooked him up to all the machinery.

Now here he is this morning opening up his birthday presents not so tiny anymore... He got trucks and a front end loader for his birthday, we were going to have chippies in the park and ride his bike down in Tumut but it hasn't stopped raining so we came home after the 2 eldest got there Jab for Meningococcal..

I love to include circles in my Layouts if you haven't noticed and that is what I felt like doing when I picked up the papers to do this page.... I picked the colours from the clothes that are in the photo of my niece and dad back in 2005..... and I searched everywhere for a title or quote and I ended up picking the one from this months quote challenge at RSS but didn't follow are the other criteria so I used it for Lizzy's challenge at the challenge chic site...

Did a Layout for the kaisercraft 15 minute embellishment challenge they gave an image on the blog for the 30 days of contest and you could make an embellishment or a LO using it... so went through the old pics and found one of Jess eating an ice cream when she was about 18 mths old... and the dress she is wearing even matched the spots on the ice cream....

I used bazzil cs, kaisercraft distracted pp, lace, gt flowers, droplets and sparkly stuff on the ice cream...

you have to use white (Ivory) with tan and green.... and also stitched border, buttons and rounded corners..

Another RSS challenge I done this last night very simple this is just a covered exercise book I used DCWV pattern paper and added a bit of ribbon and and lace, and a few flowers and letters.. and it was done...

On Wednesday we had a quick shower which resulted in the brightest rainbow... do you know how hard it is to try and take a photo of a whole rainbow nearly a double one.

I just love the colours in the offshore range so bought a couple of sheets they go well with the swimming lesson photo's of sam...
so for this LO I have used kaisercraft offshore pp, KC distressed alpha stamped title, mesh, droplets and glass finish which is like dimentional magic only tinted blue, photo turns and few little pins..

I finally scrapped a Layout seems like a long time since I've actually done one as I've been playing with stamps, atc's and cards you can check them out on the other blog... this was a challenge at RSS set by AM using the word 'US' so I chose to do one of all the kids with a edited photo I done over a year ago I cut around the image and put foam tape under it and mounted it on photo paper and wiped it over with distress ink.... I used coredinations cs, kaiser duchess pp, paper tole image, mesh, lace, pearls, prima and other flowers, buttons and other bits and pieces....

The white LO was a challenge set by Pauly at the cybercop held on the weekend had to use white on white... the gorgeous little boys are LisaK's I just loved the photo and wanted to scrap it for her...

Finally I've had a play with the Duchess range I won in the lower post, I sat down with intentions of doing the sketch from scraphappy kats blog (link in sidebar) but ended up doing my own thing I shall do kathie's sketch this arvo though.... We had a cybercrop over at Debs on the weekend and we have until Sunday to get the entries in so I still have a few more to do..... This was Star's challenge we had to go back to basics and use no PP but create your own..... so what did I do throw on some brown paint and stamp the mesh looking stuff and stamped the title with a bit of DM on it and stuck a chipboard embellishment..... another one of sam playing in the mud... This was Lisa's challenge for this we had to use things starting with

L - I used lace and lace cs, I - I have ink and ivory, S - stamping, snowflakes and swapped images with were stamped, A - acetate, also the title of where pic was taken started with A

Angies challenge was to create a LO using a sketch she provided. I used up an old present mike gave me when he was 6 it was a laminated calendar, I cut the calendar bit of ages ago so it was just waiting to be scrapped...

This was from last weeks uproar cybercrop Lisa's challenge was to scrap someone at a particular age and journal likes etc at that age, also include something non traditional in scrapping so put on a tag from bag of spuds with an arrow on it...

I done 2 card samples this time a baby card I used lace, pearls, sei and kaiser pp, Christina Re stamp and tried the cracked glass technique, a flower and gel pen..

for this card I used a penny black stamp and unknown pp, ribbon, flowers and some papier for the flourishes...

I used a mesh onion bag and bg pp, I gave it a spray with walnut ink that may be a bit hard to pick up in the photo ,a tag from a swap (skye made it) and papier scollops, chipboard .... the pics are from when we went camping the boys found a lovely mud puddle to get dirty in.....

My latest LO is Lexie's challenge over at RSS great challenge we had to have the colours of black white and grey or silver, and one other colour could be used, also had to have paint or ink and no pp........

I have used bazzil black and grey, stamped title in paint, stickers and lace cs.. a penquin die cut...

Got some awesome news yesterday ...... very excited as I won the Duchess range from kaisercraft...... it is being released in July, just by entering the comp they had running on their blog....

This I done last night for Debs master blaster comp she has running this month's challenge was Geometrical... so I choose my favourite shape... In this LO I used bazzil cs, bo bunny pp, kaiser pp, flowers gt, prima bling, stamped images, other bits.

The next was a sketch challenge at Debs

we had to do this one on fav food or place to eat etc.... so I choose these pics from our camping trip a few weeks ago, where I was cooking a stew and jess was behind me taking pics so she took the before one, then I was looking through the photo's on the camera and thought I had better take an after shot as raw meat and spuds didn't look very appetising. we usually cook a leg of lamb in the camp oven every camping trip but decided not to this time...

I used coredinations cs, bg pp, tag from the lovely chris, and stamped leaves and flowers...

well I've been busy scrapping over the past week..... I've done 3 Circle Journals (CJ's) through the LSS stupid me forgot to take pics of the 2 I finished last night they were rushed jobs them ones but I had this one a bit longer than I was supposed to, I was procastinating as it had to be on self portrait....... so ended up doing it the night before we went to Tumut it is owned by Kylie Tout whom lives in the surrounding district It was very different it is two canvases and the portraits inside are like folders, some had manila folders decorated and others made their own... I had to make my own with cs then used kaiser blushed pp in the centre......
I really don't enjoy doing pages on myself ........ but in saying that I did one from 1984 of my deb photo in a collage challenge for the RSS cybercrop. I done it in red and white as that is what colours the flowers we held were but I also added black and they all go well together and I used a heap of bits and pieces....

The 80's was the theme for the cybercrop and Lexie's challenge was from the song Lyrics "Don't Worry be Happy" sorry about the crap photo of the Layout as it was getting on dark when I took the photo.... anyway it is of sam..

This is Rach's challenge here we had to find a picture of a pop star in the 80's and take inspiration from the picture I choose an album cover of Michael Jackson (thriller) where he is wearing black and white...

I used cheapy creative8 pp, bo bunny stamps, bazzil cs, gyprock mesh (great stuff it already has sticky stuff on the back) staples, a few tags, and a cheapy alpha....

what I've been up to

RSS cybercrop weekend but I have not been getting much done here are my efforts so far :- the theme is the 80's

this is Kirsti's challenge we had to get inspiration from an 80's show(smurfs) and scrap a favourite photo from that era..... and use felt (fozz), chipboard (bg letters) and handcutting (flourish). This one was a curveball challenge that we scrapped on Friday night we had to pick a colour (purple and yellow) then given further instructions as the night went on and this is how mine turned out.....

a mini RAK card challenge at uproar.... we were sent some things in the post and had to make up a card with what was provided the only extra thing I added was the magnolia stamp and didn't use a brad that came.....

and it is that time of year again were I like to pick up the knitting needles and so far I have done this much of the back I use Bendigo wool its the best... I don't like to knit with acrylic yarns it feels awful on your hands..... I will sell this jumper when finished as I like to knit them but not wear what I finish..... It will probably take me a little while as there are only so many hrs in a day and I need to choose scrapping or knitting what ever the mood goes with I'm afraid....

Well when I finally dragged myself out of my warm cosy bed this morning most of it had melted, I just went and took another pic or two, as you can see it looks sunny but there is an icy cold wind so its freezing.... (it' like walking into them cold rooms in supermarkets where they keep the grog)

The only snow left is on neighbours roofs.

The surrounding hills are covered in fog.... probably snow out the bush way it usually cops the snow before us as its higher up in the mountains....

This is one of my cousins Denise whom is no longer with us.... she died a few years ago of cancer aged 50 so I really like this photo of her so decided to scrap it... may even give it to my aunt..

I used webster pp I actually cut it up I have been avoiding using them as they too pretty I usually get them out and start Laying out and end up putting them away again as I struggle with covering up the pretty paper, anyway I also used kaiser pp, coredinations cs, lace, ribbon, flowers, fozz felt and bling
