Mandy's challenge

Well here it is the 6th photo from the 6th file in my photo folder..... Which isn't too embarassing it is my niece Ashley playing with the castle box way back in 2006.... I really need to go and save all my old photo's on to disc and clean up the puta... Now I need to pass the challenge on to 5 more people so I will pick

wipeout round 2

For this round we had to create a 12 x12 heritage style LO with brown and creams with a sepia photo, I already had this photo printed up. It is one of my great grandfather on my mums side of the family. Its Frederick George Bowman.....I still need to add a bit of Journalling in the tag....

mini album

Lisa's challenge for the cybercrop was to make a mini album, so this is what I created using photo's from Sam's and Ashley's swimming lessons. This would have to be a first it was actually hot weather during the lessons as guarenteed as soon as they start so does the rainy, cold weather. Sam observed most the time when they had to go in the pool or he waited till most of the kids got out, but he really enjoyed splashing everyone......

For the album I used a strip of bazzil and a sheet of sasslass pp and the seahorses were cricut diecuts. Thanks Kata for the last class on making these albums it came in real handy as Pauly also made one as well.....

2nd Layering LO

The 2nd attempt at the layering challenge this time got the photo right....
I used Basic Grey again this time stella ruby pp's.
Struggled with a title so asked DH (husband) he came up with "the girl", I thought about it for a while and ended up running with the idea. Jess was no help either.
The title was stamped again on bazzil, then my new rain daubers came today so put that on it, then glitzed them....

Layering LO

This is my first attempt at this challenge........uploaded it in the gallery so thought I would check out the other Layouts that were in and noticed all photo's were B&W ......... oops, so I did another one last night and shall upload shortly when I crop the photo a bit.

This is called The Proximity Award."These blogs invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
I'm finding it hard to nominate for only 8 so I'll nominate all those on my sidebar that I visit as all your blogs are fabulous.......love em all..... plus also I think you all have one of these awards now too.... so thanks again ladies I really am honoured xoxo

2009 Firsts

My storage area had a bit of a clean up as jess got a new desk and threw out the bookcase so I bought some baskets and filled with chipboard alpha's and ribbon in the second one, third has sizzix stuff in it.. also my other scanner died so it got tossed out, now have to buy another as the cannon is only a printer.... My chrissy pressie was another set of drawers great value picked them up for $40 (I get to pick my own pressie's) so got some things to put in the drawers as well.. DH has been telling the kids I am slowly taking over the kitchen.... I'm only using it until there is a free room to move into....
The mess the table is usually in

actually got cleaned up not once but twice this week.... thought I better
take a photo as its not often I clear it off to eat, usually just gets a bit of a tidy then pushed up to the end so eat up one end of the table...

My first LO for 2009 is a fairly simple one I was taking photo's with mum's camera on boxing day of Sam he was climbing on my dad's Dingo trailer so in one of the photo's he has climbed up the ramp. The title took me the longest to think of as I was searching for a quote about reaching high couldn't find a thing......... so ended up as is...... I put his name on it after the photo was taken of the LO. (just used carolee creation mini alpha's.)

Last page for2008

My final page for 2008 was a scraplift challenge at Uproar2scrapmore, they have a monthly scraplift, the original was of chris's LO. I used Basic Grey pp, coredination cs and used the slice for the title and flourishes (my chrissy pressie, the design card). Also used kaiser rubons and some flowers. We had an early christmas gathering this is my 3 sisters (i was in photo) but edited me out... we met half way where we live which is Albury to have lunch and exchange pressie's, well I left the boys at home and went with karen and mum so we had a kid free day (rare event) for me... also finished chrissy shopping as well. This was the Sunday before xmas....
