latest LO

Another photoswap LO for Kirsty over at TBSS I used black cs to mat the photo, then found a scrap of kaiser and distressed it a bit before I stuck it down, bella tag, Gtara flowers stamped on with a kaiser stamp, sizzix scroll and lace tape, and BG stamps I used as well. I photoshoped the photo and turned the background B&W.

Now I am trying to do everything at once and not getting much achieved at all. I'm trying to wash the carpets before putting up the tree on the 1st of Dec, also washing clothes, vacumming, done the ironing this morning and cleaned the kitchen up a bit. Inbetween all the chores I'm trying to scrap as there is a cybercrop over at Uproar. Then later I will have to go down to my mum's as that is where all the boys are today. Frank is helping my dad out and the boys just went with my mum after we went up the street to do a bit of shopping and look at the xmas fete up town all I brought were 2 raffle tickets, see how lucky I am today. Jess is at the fete helping with devonshire teas..

rainbow photo

Here some photo's I was taking on Monday of a rainbow just in front of our house it was so bright but it was disappearing as I was taking the photo's.

Wahoo!!! Its here

I was going to cut out more of the shapes from the design card that came with it but it was a bit noisy while the family were sleeping....When I scanned it didn't pick up the hot pink fozz felt.
Here's my new slice that I won from http://uproar2scrapmore.com.au/forum/index.php I spent last night scrapping a page using die cuts from it.

A LO of Jess when I scanned the LO it didn't pick up the flouro pink paint on the chipboard so I photoshop the hot pink in also the scull pp looks pinker in real life. Its sasslass pp I think, i was using up some scraps I had. I inked around the photo and used BG chocolate alpha's and sizzix film strip, green tara flowers, grungeboard.

Wipeout round 4

I'm still in wipeout only just as I didn't get any votes this time voting is a bit different we have to vote 3 times so those that are left don't get drawn out of a hat. This time brown as dominant colour, brackets, inking and journalling on a 12x 12 or 8.5x11 LO. I used BG granola range and urbanlily alpha's a quote from dcwv and tag K&Co. See if I can hang on for one more round.......
I done this LO first for the wipeout but changed my mind and done the second one. I used bg granola again and some buttons. This is sams new trucks he got for his birthday.

I done a scraplift of one of my other LO's I used up some pp that has been in my stash for ages. It has flavia written in the corner. the blue is a scrap that was sitting on the table from the other LO I done recently. I used HG chipboard flowers and circle.

More LO's

More Challenges out of the way this is a weekly challenge for Uproar to use red, stars and arrows had the photo printed up for a while decided to scrap it.. I used the free paper from SBM and cricut cs and K&Co pp to cut out the arrows then used the sizzix to cut out the stars and used BG chocolate letters.. and a kaiser stamp, i have doodled red stars around the whole border but the scan cut the right side off.
Wipeout game 1 round 3 challenge to use pink (didn't have to be a dominant colour) and chipboard title and flourishes and a pocket so got them all in don't really like how it has turned out as when I scanned it things look a bit crooked. Anyway I used coredinations cs, sasslass pp and a scrap of bg, I cut the butterflies and flourishes with the cuttlebug.

This one is the monthly challenge, had to use haberdashery (ribbons, lace etc.) paint and bling. I used pp from Go LO and dcwv also deja v. I painted the white flowers with silver paint and used some bling I got from cheapy shop for decorating mobiles.

old photo's

My pop Bailey with Bernie and HeatherGreat Grandma Emily Rose Bowman

Aunty Topsy Her real name is Doris Mabel which she didn't like so she was known as Topsy all her life

Nan and Pop Bailey with Bernie and Heather

This is Aunt Clare and Uncle Ernest I don't know a great deal about Aunt Clare this is Emily Rose's sister and there were a few skeleton in this closet so if you ask your mum Susan she might be able to tell you some more about Claire and why nan B didn't really like her. All these photo's are circa 1930's.

These are some of the old photo's I have on my to do list and Aunty June may have some more for me to scan when I go and see her. I'm trying to get pop's side of the family done first than I might to a 12x12 album on what I can find out about nan's side of the family so I can see this is going to be an ongoing project as I would also love to trace the family tree (pop's side too) seen the Bailey name I want to find out more about, but I shall need $$$ to do that so its on the back burner at the moment.

This is a photoswap LO for kirsti at TBSS and also the 2nd entry in the wipeout comp at Uproar.

The butterflies are spellbinders and the aren't embossed yet as I need to buy a mat first. but I did trace and ink them and added some kindyglitz.

A quote challenge at TBSS. This is sam when he was about 2 kissing the sliding door. The quote is "Big Trouble comes in Cute packages".
I'm getting excited now as my new slice machine I won will be here in a couple of days... I can't wait.

together as friends

ready to face

whatever life sends

joy and laughter

or tears and strife

holding hands tightly

as we dance through life.

addiction challenge

Elle's challenge was on another addiction, nothing to do with scrapbooking, the only other thing would be my dolls. We had to use paint and kindy glitz a bit of paint and blue somewhere and scollops.

My LO's lexies challenge

uproar2scrapmore

Hi I am a guest DT over at uproars for the month of Dec. you should all go and check it out. Dee is a lovely lady andthey have a new comp starting today You still have time to join in the fun if you regiser now, she always had fun and games going on: another comp is this one-------

Lots of people want to know what is involved with being part of a Design Team...well one of the MOST fun things I get to do with Dalena is look at the products in store and create KITS for classes or purchase. SO with that in mind - our next In store competition involves just that. * You are to design a Kit using products that are available though Dalenas store ( you dont have to have bought them from Uproar ) to the value of $30. * With those kits products you are to create 2 layouts and have instructions for one of them. ( If you do wish to purchase the products through Uproar place the order early so you have plenty of time to create your layouts and write instructions)* At the end of the month you will need to provide....a picture of your kit, the 2 layouts created and one set of instructions for one of those layouts. * Every participant will get points towards their November tally and the WINNER will get a guest design team position in the New Year. So go and have a look instore and have a think about what items you would need to make 2 layouts - 1 with instructions. To be sent to Dalena by the end of November........Any questiosn - ask here...... Lisa K http://www.uproar2scrapmore.com.au/forum/index.php

This is written by the lovely lisa I just copied and pasted it from the site.
Okay now I will go do another post with all the LO's I haven't put up yet as I had a few computer issues over a few days through the week but it is all better now..

Another Debutante Photo of all the girls that done the deb this year. The population of where I live is about 1500 and a minimum of 6 girls has to do the ball otherwise they won't hold one. This is Nov challenge for TBSS we had to use ribbon but not to lay flat so I crochet some and made a flower we also had to include stitching and buttons they are on the beautiful tag.

Well we got the parking ticket today it was $243 so he wasn't too mean and got us for the number plate. I have a few LO's to share with you all.... Thanks for looking and leaving comments.

Another LO

for this LO I used the bubblewrap with paint on it from the previous LO, I cut a heart and flower from it and used bazil and punched the other flowers out.

more LO's

This is a challenge on Debz site Scrapping withT set it and we had to use painting or inking, I used bubblewrap and paint and alter the letters in some way that was different I chose to use kindy glitz and then stick beads on that, it also had to include metal so got some washers and stuck them on, also had to include ribbon I nearly forgot that but stuck a bit around the edges.

More Challenges this 1 was for a quote challenge at TBSS and also a weekly challenge at uproar to use ribbon on a LO. The photo started off on the bold LO then I went and re read the requirements for the challenge and it had to have a B&W photo so I printed up another one and this one had the sticky already on it so had to do another LO using it so I combined the 2.

Be Bold

Antoher LO for today this is Jess when she went to Canberra last week with the school teacher to drop off some christmas boxes for a charity that Rotary donated. She went with a couple of her friends and they got to go shopping. I used DCWV cs and K&Co pp and I used foil on the grungeboard letters and some rubons. Debs challenge #3

Topsy

Here is a LO I done this arvo after all the morning drama. Its a vintage LO for a challenge at Debs. It is my great Aunt (Nan's sister) she served in the Air force she drove around officers and the like, my mum said but I shall do more research on her when I next see one of my other aunts. Her real name was Doris Mabel but everyone knew her as Topsy she might have got the name from her curly tops (hair). I remember meeting her up in Qld she lived up there on the Tweed river as her hubby was a mad fisherman so she probably died about 30 years ago as I would have been 8-10 she died quite young cancer was the cause.

Bugger, bugger and waiting

Well they say things happen in 3 so I'm waiting to see what else will happen today. This morning we were dropping Sam off at big school for his orientation day I hopped out of the car and Sam only had his thongs on so we put him back in the car to go and get his runners on, by the time we got home there was smoke coming from under the bonnet of the Hilux which has put a stop to our camping weekend, sammy and DH were more dissappointed about that then me and the other 2 but shhh!!!!!!!! don't tell them. Anyway we left the hilux at home and took him back to school in the commodore that's when the second bugger up of the day happened my DH was the driver and he stopped in front of the school in a no stop zone to drop sam off , its only a small country town so not many cops around occasionally we have this orange candy car from a neighbouring town and the cop in it is a very picky (bastard) so you've probably guessed by now yep!! he got booked for being where he shouldn't have been I just happened to get to the car the same time as the cop too..........anyway we are yet to get the infringement notice in the mail as everything is recorded and taped he also mentioned about the tow ball obstructing the numberplate so we don't know if he booked us for that or not. I'll let you know when we get a surprise in the mail. We went and had a look the number plate can be seen clearly all that is covered is the dot in the middle.

Amanda's Challenge

This is Phillip he was Daddy's little helper but he looks a bit stuck in this photo, he was a bit of a dare devil as well. I used BG pp and coredination cs and chipboard swirls I used versa ink to colour them and I made the arrow out of felt and even stitched it, I have used buttons and rubons too.

wedding LO

This is a challenge from Debz, we were to do a wedding LO in shabby chic style, so I googled it and picked up a few techniques to try out like screwing up the paper a heap of times until it looks worn and than to sand and ink and distress it. I used lace and wool and metal embellies as well as sat down and crochet the flowers and then I added the pearls to Karen's neck where her necklace was and crystalina kindy glitz around the pattern of her dress, the light must reflect on it as it looks pink in the photo but its not, the flower was from my bridesmaid bouquet which I have sitting in my bookcase the colours of that blended really well.

Mr Damage

A LO I just finished one of Debs challenges it was to use the song title Mr Damage by the Angels and I scrapped one of my niece doing a hulk impression after she got into the zinc cream at age 2. I decided to rip and tear the photo and paper and smear ink all over the page and add some boyish touches like the mesh and a meccano bit, as well as a few girlie bits like the flower and pink arrow...........

A new month

Well November is here and with it a heap of new challenges the first one I've done is for White with 1 this month the colour is Lime, I decided to do a deb photo as I haven't done one for a while but in this one Jess was getting her hair and make-up done in the morning before the Deb.

I have done a few more pages in the Old Pom album but have to crop the photo's before I post them..

The front cover and the only photo of any of the kids on santa's knee as he seems to freak the kids out Jess was 7 months old in the photo

Jessica and phillip a portrait taken at the Mansfield Chemist one christmas when they were little.

Frank with Jess(20 mths) and Phillip was about 3 months here.

jess, mike and little sammy he was 3 months old here (the little red dolly in jess's arms)

michael would of been about 2 weeks old he was born in Dec.

back cover rubon(kaiser)
"In the eyes of children
we find the joy of
Christmas
In their hearts
We find the Meaning"
Sorry about the big gap at the end of this post I can't seem to get rid of it but keep scrolling down to see some other LO's I've recently done.

Jess LO

Another LO of Jess I like how this one turned out, I done it for Lisa's challenge at Uproar.

Iused DCWV mat pp, and scrappy cat border strip, flowers, kaiser brads, rubbon, buttons, a clothing tag, and felt. I was really stuck for a title on this one its getting hard to think of teenage ones. Yesterday I bought this cool foil and foil glue in spotlight I used it to write her name I will have to play some more with it as its like a 3d glue and after it is dry for and hour or so you rub the foil stuff on.
